Lloyd Buxton Unveils 19th Century Lillian Brady Sideboard

REIDSVILLE, NC – This season Lloyd Buxton is expanding its collection of English-inspired fine furniture with the introduction of a new sideboard steeped in history. The Lillian Brady Sideboard is based on a 19th century piece that was once owned by a former Virginia governor and currently calls the Brady House in Reidsville, NC home.

The original sideboard dates back to 1830. With a nod to the past, the new reproduction showcases Lloyd Buxton's skill in crafting delicate and detailed designs. The sideboard incorporates elements from Empire design and the embellished style of Thomas Day, whose expert scroll and veneer work was sought after by many plantation owners.

Using sophisticated skill and age-old techniques, Lloyd Buxton captures the essence of the original antique in the Lillian Brady Sideboard. The stately sideboard features a hand carved ram's ear motif buttressing an elevated mahogany backsplash with a flat top. Its seven drawers are complemented by ornate brass handles and satinwood veneers. An intricate scroll pattern around the crotch mahogany doors creates eye-catching detail. The piece reveals a hidden wine rack and storage inside for modern convenience.

The Lloyd Buxton product story tells a tale of classic English design and unsurpassed workmanship. See all of Lloyd Buxton's newest introductions, including the Lillian Brady Sideboard, this October at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point from October 14th - 20th.
